Large logs up to 25" in length can be split with this log splitter.

What type of oil does it use? Do I ever have to change the Hydraulic Oil?

A three gallon Hydraulic Oil Tank located in the rear axle area of the splitter provides the necessary capacity for oil to cool before re-circulating. This ensures prolonged cylinder and pump life while reducing wear on valves and seals. Under normal use, the hydraulic oil will give years of trouble free service.
